PIANO SYLLABUS (full version pdf)

PIANO PROGRAMME (full version pdf)

METHOD COURSES Participants who are enrolled in one of the recognized method courses
such as Alfred, Bastien, Nuna Noona, Faber and Faber, Fletcher, or David Carr Glover should
enter one of the Festival Classes identified by the term “Level”.

EXAMINATION COURSES Participants who are enrolled in a recognized examination course
such as The Royal Conservatory of Music, Western Conservatory or Conservatory Canada should
enter one of the Festival Classes identified by the term “Grade”.
EACH PARTICIPANT MUST CHOOSE TO COMPETE IN EITHER METHOD
COURSE CLASSES OR EXAMINATION COURSE CLASSES, NOT BOTH.
HOWEVER, HE OR SHE MAY CHOOSE TO ENTER THE OTHER TYPE OF CLASS
NON-COMPETITIVELY.

Students must compete at the grade level at which they are studying. However, a competitor
may substitute ONE AND ONLY ONE entry at a level one grade higher than the one at which
he or she is studying. For example, a person studying at Grade 3 level may enter ONE class at a
Grade 4 level instead of at a Grade 3 level. Music listed at a Grade 4 level will be adjudicated at
a Grade 4 level.

QUICK STUDY CLASSES The fee for the Quick Study classes is $10.00, including the cost of
the music. Participants are to pick up music for Quick Study 48 hours before scheduled
performance. Please check Programme for dates and times. Receiving help is acceptable....
